It's pouring down rain in Lexington. How is the weather there?
Small changes in our positioning, can change everything.
If we have a moral compass, what other built in positioning systems do we have? When we arrive at our destination, do we just know this, intuitvely? Is there something greater than ourselves, guiding us? Or do we have everything we need to know inside of us from the beginning, just waiting to be seen and heard. The greatest gift we could have ever been given, the power to know, without knowing. The ability to find without seeking. Ha. Fucking Buddha. Clearly seeping into my brain, my words. So funny.
Don't be afraid to let the rain do it's job. Whether it is cleansing, creating, or destroying.

What You Know
There are times in our lives when we must trade in what we know, for what we could learn.
Departures and Arrivals
I haven't written because I have been busy....living! Of course in love with life as usual...and madly as ever.
Guess what!? The impossible happened. The impossible happens often, so maybe what they say is true. Nothing is impossible...
Falling in love again...I thought impossible. But I was wrong...again! And I can't fucking believe it. I thought maybe I could with him. I thought just maybe....and so I moved to Lexington on a maybe. Fucking "maybe," and "possibly," and "potentially," and holy shit....!!! my gut was right. As usual. What we see and know in the Blink of an eye is astounding. Pay attention....pay close attention.
I don't know what my future holds, but I know it is so bright it is blinding. Nothing fancy, just everything real and special that a person needs in order to know with every cell of her body how precious Life is, and how connected the universe is to the soul. All of this is my choice to believe. This world is mine to create. This life is mine to write.
I departed from my home over 6 months ago with no idea what to expect. When everything that defines us, is suddenly gone, I think we arrive at a door of possibility that previously never existed. Don't be afraid to open the door!

Preparation
I love the cleanness and coolness of the air after a heavy rain. It rejuvenates my plants. It rejuvenates me. A run is in my near future. Perfect weather. Can't wait.
Today I was thinking about the way we feel about the unknown. The uneasiness we get when we realize we don't know how to prepare, because we don't know what to expect. But there is no need to worry. We spend our whole lives preparing just by living and learning. The unknown surrounds us and waits for us to take a chance on it.
Don't be afraid of what may come from the unknown; the positives versus the negatives, good versus bad, but be sure to follow your gut/heart/soul, and be sure to learn from the experience. And remember, positives can eclipse negatives, just as the Sun does the Moon. Our world; the way we see it and the way we live it, is up to us.

Kitchen Table
A good place to gather and solve the world's problems. Throw in the magic 8 ball and now you've got all the answers.
Freedom
I am in a bit of a holding pattern. But soon it will end….and whatever will be, will be.
I was thinking today, about Freedom. The freedom we find when we are satisfied with our current situation. I am trying to find freedom in my mind regardless of what the future brings. Our minds can assign deeper meaning as we see fit, and the ability to find deeper meaning is our saving grace.
I finished a great book by J. Haidt on Moral Psychology. I just wrote a quote from it on my white board: If you want to open your mind, open your heart first.
And this of course brings me back to Freedom. Freedom from our own mental madness. Sometimes following your gut can be very liberating. Intuiting your next move instead of fucking thinking it into paralysis. Rethinking this whole thinking thing over here! Oh so freeing.
